What is a Healthy Home Evaluation?
Many people feel no relief from their asthma, allergies, or other immune disorders in their homes. This does not need to be the way it is.
AZ Energy Efficient Home specializes in diagnosing and fixing issues in the home that cause poor indoor air quality. Fixing these issues relieves these symptoms and makes your home a retreat from your symptoms.
What is included in the inspection?
There are two types of inspections that we perform based on the issues in the home and the desires of the customer.
Basic HHE includes:
- Healthy Home Consultant (HHC) visit to your home
- Gather information from you (after a brief interview)
- Site inspection/evaluation
Advanced HHE includes:
- Healthy Home Consultant (HHC) visit to your home
- Gather information from you (after a brief interview)
- Site inspection/evaluation including:
- Observation of general housing characteristics including exterior or property, indoor environment, sleep environment
- General home safety and indoor environment quality
- Blower Door Test
- Moisture Testing
- Infrared Diagnosis
- Leak testing of envelope
- Testing of HVAC distribution system
- Mapping of pressure boundary/boundaries
- Installation of indoor air quality monitor
- Monitoring and charting of air quality readings for 1-2 weeks
- Return visit with complete air quality analysis

Based upon that information we will:
Evaluate your home for:
* Sources of Contaminants
* Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
* Pesticides
* Particulates
* Combustion contaminants
* Biological contaminants
* Moisture related problems
* HVAC system filtration
Once you are informed about your home, we are here to help:
We are proficient at both diagnosing and fixing any issues that there may be in the home. Based on what we determine, there may be a need for additional measuring and sampling by a qualified industrial hygienist.
